I started to work as a caregiver when I was 20 years old in a private home with six beds. I helped with showers, meal prep, med prep, and taking care of patient. I also go to school for my LVN hoping to become a good registered nurse.

Gloria is amazing and very knowledgeable and skilled. She is 100% reliable and took great care of my Mom. No exaggeration to say Gloria continually went above and beyond. 

Gloria is a gem. Words cannot accurately describe how important she was throughout the process of caring for my sister,  being the focal point for her care, interacting with the agency and other provides, and just seeing that everything was taken care of and in a timely and efficient manner Gloria was always on time, supervised the other caregivers and was totally responsible, always. We could not have gotten through this process with our sanity intact with Gloria.

Needed care of 73yo female with dementia and failure to thrive terminal diagnosis. All was good for awhile until LO got really sick, needed to be in ER/DOU. 10/5-Gloria "fell" "hurt her left ankle" (no proof, nothing could be a trip hazard bc LO can barely walk so floor is clear at all times) took over an hour to call me to come, made it sound like not a big deal, laughing it off BUT had called her husband and daughter before calling me bc they live far but arrived before me (I'm 3 mins away), brought her family INTO LO home even though we have said from day 1 NO ONE is allowed inside LO home without our prior approval. 10/6-Gloria did not work her scheduled shift. 10/9-10/11-showed up for her scheduled shifts and wore flip flops with a simple ankle brace and a crutch she didn't even use, it sat in the corner when she wasn't dragging it behind her. She walked fine without a limp or crutch IN flip flops 10/11 at 8pm. 10/12- LO was rushed to ER bc she fell and had to be picked up by 2 well bodied people. Called to divert Gloria from coming in, she pleaded she "needed her hours" so agreed to have her change bedding, run laundry and clean bathroom. She did that in 1.75 hours while texting she was waiting on laundry to put in dryer, told her we could do it later (my daughter was about to get off work down the street) and she could go. LO was admitted and we were told could pass anytime, while I'm being texted by Gloria. 10/13-LO was still in DOU with possible death. Gloria is texting saying her "fulltime job" (?? she was with us 11-8 M-F and NEVER said she another job, school yes job no) was letting her go until she could climb stairs bc her doc vm her saying poss hairline fracture-although the pic she sent me says they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Gloria wanted a check for her hours so we wrote it put in mailbox for her to pick up (per her request!). Gloria showed up to pick up check and could barely walk up the walkway using her crutch and the wall for support. I later watched security video and questioned how she would be able to care for LO if released if she could barely walk, Gloria immediately was defensive and telling me her mortgage was due and she "didn't get paid her full hours" (even though paid for 3 hours on 10/12) explained NO ONE gets paid if LO is in hospital and that she should take this week (10/16-10/20) to heal prior to returning, immediately says she's contacting a lawyer. 10/17-Gloria has now started texting LO son with what a would called extortion/threats about a lawyer.  After reading the review on 7/30/23 that also said she hurt her foot that seems like a bit fishy. Would not hire, BEWARE! 

We had a phone interview & she hurt her foot within 2 hours of our scheduled in person interview.  She seemed to be interested in rescheduling. 3 weeks later no call, text or response to my inquiry about her foot & attempt to reschedule.  On the phone Gloria did have a. Lot to say about all of these negative reviews.  Gloria sweet woman.  Idk what's going on with you.  You might want to decline the next step sooner.  We spend a lot of time scheduling & working on these interviews. Preparing our children & families & homes for them.  Please stop
Committing to appointments that you have no intention of keeping.  It's confusing and unprofessional.  I hope you're ok.  With your reputation clearly you're fine.

I think I understand some of the negative reviews posted here. It seems to me Gloria has a lot going on in her life, but for us she was very responsive to my family's needs as a caregiver for my mom in a time of great distress. With Gloria's help, my mom is much better now and more stable. I found Gloria to be very knowledgeable about my mom's condition. She  conscientious and committed to helping her get well. For any missed days or hours Gloria would promptly make up the time. Gloria's experience, insights and personality were exactly what my feisty mother needed to find her equilibrium. 

Needs stop applying for jobs if you won't keep communicating or coming up with excuses as to why you can't respond. She never follows up.

Never followed up with phone call that was promised

I got in contact with Gloria she said she was interested in the position. I texted her and she said she'd call me and I waited a couple hours for her to call. She called, I was explaining job duties then she suddenly hung up on me. I called back thinking the call dropped and she didn't answer. I waited for her to call me back and she never did. I followed up with her via text and she responded "my phone is charging". This is site for people that are looking for serious candidates families don't appreciate you wasting their time when they are in serious need of a caregiver.

The sweetest, and most helpful person in this app, she went out off her way to help with everything when she didn't even have too.

I too messaged Gloria and was thrilled that she was interested. We arranged to talk via phone. I called and she asked if I could call later in the evening as she was in class. I did. No response. I messages her both by phone and the Care.com message system. No response.

Gloria responding to our ad quickly, was available to come meet our family in a timely manner and showed up early each morning ready to work and care for our mother in law with confidence, knowledge and a tender heart.  
When she came to meet my mother in law she was liked by my father in law, my husband and my friend who was helping interview candidates. All of them liked Gloria and knew she was the best fit for our needs. 
Unfortunately, my mother in law passed and Gloria was only needed for one week, but we would hire her again and highly recommend her for your family needs.

Gloria was so good with my mom! She helped her with daily care and really went over and beyond with her care. She's a kind and responsible lady! We would call her again in a minute!

I corresponded with Gloria a couple of times via message system. Arranged for a subsequent phone call and had a pleasant conversation. We agreed to begin caregiver service the following Monday @ 9am. She never showed up nor did she call or make any attempts to contact me.

Gloria helps me with my husband who is a quadriplegic and since day one my husband really liked her.  She is professional and have a Calm demeanor.  There has been times when I have scheduled Gloria and have had to cancel last minute due to my husband being hospitalized but she is always so understanding and professional about the situation.  We will keep using Gloria in the future.

We were ready to hire and she was not responsive. Doesn't have the decency to say not interested. No follow through.

Gloria and I spoke on the phone, had a great conversation and she expressed interest in the position, so we said we'd arrange a meeting. She was suppose to contact me, but I heard nothing, so I followed up with her  - twice. On the second attempt, she apologized and said her 25 year old daughter had Covid and it wasn't a good time. I understood, and asked if she was still interested.  She said definitely, so I said I'd follow up the next week. Tried to contact her the next week, and she never responded. If you read her other reviews, this appears to be a consistent behavior. People have real care needs and stringing people along is neither helpful nor professional. Speaks volumes about the person's character.

Gloria stepped in to help us with our 89 year old Father who fell and broke his hip. She is compassionate, empathetic and was so sweet with my Father. The care she gives is exceptional. She even stayed through the night so we could sleep. Highly recommended!!

Gloria worked with my mother following her release from the hospital. I have nothing but absolute praise for very aspect of her care-taking. 
She worked with my 89 year old mother who is overall quite lovely, but as many who suffer from dementia, can at times be challenging. Gloria was able to navigate beautifully around the times my mother was less cooperative.  I found Gloria intuitive regarding my mothers needs and she was able to get my mother to do things that no one else was able to without any complaints. 
Gloria helped my mom with basic self care needs including showering, toileting and companionship with genuine patience, care and kindness. She was  punctual and very responsive to my inquiries as well as kept me informed on daily issues that occurred.
It is difficult to trust the care of those you love with individuals you don't yet know. I feel very fortunate to have found Gloria to help care for my mother and I recommend her unequivocally.

Gloria was very punctual and all around great caregiver.  She was a great help to me and my family with the care of my father. I would definitely hire Gloria again and recommend her.

She scheduled an interview and then cancelled it. I said I understood and we scheduled another day. She cancelled again and said she wasn't interested anymore. Thought she was a nice person when I spoke to her over the phone and she gave me the impression she was really interested, but then changed her mind.  Didn't appreciate that.
