About Grace

I enjoy working with kids because I am the oldest of four children, so I have been caring for children since age 10. The majority of the jobs I have had involved working with children, including babysitting both children and infants, working in a clinic for children with autism, and coaching a children's swim team. My first paid job that I began at age 15 was coaching a children's swim team. This experience was very useful because it developed my understanding of how important it is to remain vigilant around children at all times. One thing you should know about me is I am currently studying to receive my Master's degree in children's mental health counseling, so I am prepared for many different situations in which a child may need emotional or personal support. My skills in childcare are my awareness of a child's safety at all times, flexibility to be able to adapt to each child's specific needs, and remaining patient and calm no matter the circumstance.
