Greta was (still is) a member of our family. She worked for us for over two years until my Mom passed away in December of 2022. She not only was absolutely reliable in showing up to care for Mom, but she went above and beyond the minimum requirements of the job. Greta meal planned, offered to shop, and prepared home-cooked meals for my Mom. She engaged her with games, puzzles, cards, discussions, etc. more than just coming in and sitting in front of the TV with her. She was engaged with her medical care documenting and pointing out areas of concern such as cognitive decline, emerging medical concerns, taking her BP regularly and writing it down. We kept a log (daily pages) to track what my Mom ate, BP, engagement/alertness/mood, toileting/bowel movements, what activities they did, etc. I trusted Greta completely with caring for my Mom as I knew she treated her as a family member. When her own Mom was in town, she asked if she could bring her over to see if they would engage with one another, which they did, building a lasting friendship. The thing that sticks out the most about Greta was her being there for/with my Mom until the very end. When we knew my Mom only had a few hours/days left, Greta came in after our family said their good-byes and stayed with my Mom until she passed only hours later. She knew that she made a difference and was always there for her. We still keep in touch with Greta to this day. Not only a true professional, but someone whose passion it is to help care for others. I would highly recommend Greta for anyone needing not only senior care, but also for parents that need child care. You would be lucky to have Greta on your care team.
