About Hailey

Former 3rd grade teacher and 4th grade Science and Global Studies teacher at Global Leadership Academy in West Philadelphia. During my second school year, I received the Novice Teacher Award, and during my third school year, I won the Scholar Advocacy Award. This May I graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with my M. A. in Education Policy and Social Analysis! This fall, I will be returning to my previous school to teach 7th and 8th grade Science. I started tutoring during my years teaching in Philadelphia, offering tutoring for students after school. My childcare experiences began when I was in High School, where I was a nanny for 3 children during my summers and an on/off again babysitter for different families in my town. I'd describe my personality as empathetic, patient, and flexible. In my spare time, I like to read (I read 16 books last year!), crocheting, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
