I hired Haley to be an after-school nanny for my 4-year-old with autism. Immediately after meeting her and then spending the first day with her, she made an impression. She connected well with my son, asked the right questions, and I was confident that she could be a good fit. While she was great when she was here, the same can't be said when she wasn't. She often took days to answer texts about scheduling and dodged multiple requests for references and a copy of her ID (to give to the school). She also canceled on me twice in less than a week -- the second time on a Monday, 90 minutes before she was supposed to get here, and she quit altogether when we had scheduled up until that Saturday, completely leaving me in the lurch. I am a single mom, and I had explained to her that my son was having a hard time transitioning from our previous nanny, so I was looking for someone longterm.
