I pursued other careers until I realized how much I enjoyed taking care of children. I have worked full-time as a nanny for a wonderful family who has a 4-year-old girl. I transitioned their care to their grandpa, while the girl was in school. I have also babysat for another wonderful family who has a 4-year-old and 2-year-old. I was referred to them by the first family. I most recently was a nanny for 2 loving boys, a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old. I was with that family for more than a year, until the mother decided to become a stay-at-home mom. I have excellent relationships with all the families I have worked for and have impeccable references from each. I have been told I am young at heart which fits in perfectly with this line of work. Heather was a nanny to our two toddler-aged boys for a year and a half. She was responsible for their meals, laundry, and activities (including taking them to preschool, the library, parks, etc.) and was always willing to help with family errands as necessary. My husband and I trusted her completely and the boys loved her! If you want your child to be loved and cared for with compassion and kindness, then Heather is perfect for you. She would sing to the boys when they were upset, laugh with them when they wanted to be silly, and set rules for them when they were wild. The only reason we had to lose Heather was because I ended up leaving my job to stay home. It was a big loss for us and we miss her very much. Any family would be lucky to have her!
