I have gone to dog parks, take pets to appointments, or simply just sit with them, tend to them, feed them, and take them to sleep if there's a certain sleep schedule. I'm very careful about creating a comforting and safe environment for pets so that they feel comfortable with me. I have never left a pet alone unless I have to use the restroom.
