About Heather

We were truly disappointed by our experience with Heather. My family was so relieved to finally find someone to help care for my grandfather. With my father and grandmother in Thailand not for vacation and me away at school in Florida, my mother has been handling everything on her own to the best of her ability. All we wanted was someone to support her in the mornings. Our interview with Heather went really well, and her trial day felt like a perfect fit. She told us she'd be back on Monday. Then, the very next day, she backed out, saying she's not comfortable providing care without the necessary appropriate assistive device. We completely understood and kindly asked which device we should look into for future care. She never responded. Instead, she asked for payment, which we promptly sent and still, no answer. The hardest part was having to tell my grandfather that she wouldn't be coming back. He cried. He doesn't open up easily to new people, but he connected with her right away. My mother cried too, because for a moment, it felt like she finally had support and then it was gone. Heather was very kind, yes but if your home isn't already equipped with every single device, don't count on her to work with you or even point you in the right direction. I flew home from Florida to help make this transition smooth. Instead, we were left heartbroken, more stressed than before, and with time completely wasted.
