I've spent the past 8 years as a stay-at-home mom, and before that, I worked as a nanny, babysitter, special education aide, respite and habilitation provider, and coach. I also have experience homeschooling my own kids, which has given me a deep understanding of how to keep children engaged, learning, and having fun throughout the day. I have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Heather worked with us this summer with my four year old, special needs daughter. Heather had past experience with the special needs community and I saw the results of that right away. She was patient with my child, encouraged the usage of her speech assistant device, and built trust with my daughter that she would be there to communicate properly with her. Heather is prompt, communicative, and asked up front how I prefer to be contacted and what my boundaries were with placed they would go. Heather would go beyond her duties as well in the home and is just a joy to work with. I would recommend Heather for her expertise in the childcare field.
