I am an energetic child care provider with a passion for the arts, outdoor activities, and education and I love sharing these interests with the children I care for. I have over 12 years of experience as a nanny, including experience with multiples and extensive experience with infants, plus two additional years as a certified teacher in a child care center. I studied child development in college and have helped families I've worked for with things such as baby sign, introducing new foods, reaching developmental milestones, and emotional regulation. I really enjoy having fun, engaging children in their unique interest areas, and helping them to grow developmentally through play and enriching activities. I work as a freelance theatre artist and this often includes rehearsals in the afternoons when I'm working with high schools so I am hoping to find a family looking for part-time care, either mornings only or a few days a week. Heather was absolutely fantastic! We hired them to help with child care at our family gathering, which included several kids with special needs, and they were incredible with every single one. They jumped right in to play, brought such a warm and friendly energy, and connected with the kids so naturally. We were especially impressed by the healthy, positive reinforcement they used throughout the day — it helped the kids feel confident, supported, and seen.
