I have a vast experience with the elderly and psychiatric clients. I treat others how I would want to be treated myself, if I were in need of care. Being able to remain in the home is a wonderful thing, the wave of the future, we must cater to everyone's specific needs. I just completed a live in working position where I lived with an 83-year-old woman for over a year and a half. Unfortunately, she passed away. I have excellent references available upon request. In my 20 years of working healthcare, I've worked mainly with the elderly. A lot of clients have had dementia and alzheimers. I have experience with medication distribution and am CPR and first aid trained, but my certification expired since working privately. I've worked in a state mental hospital and also a personal care home for 5 years where all the clients had a psych diagnosis. My last job before going private was a home healthcare job, which I was employed in good standing for 5 years.
