About Huy

We did not find Huy through Care.com. A close friend referred him to us privately and basically wouldn’t take no for an answer. At the time we were only looking on Care.com and had already interviewed more than 30 caregivers there (many with lots of reviews), so we almost didn’t even meet Huy because his Care.com profile was brand new and completely blank. Best decision we ever made was listening to our friend. From the very first day, Huy has been nothing short of amazing with our 89-year-old mother: • Mom is eating again. Huy was a professional chef for 2 years and now cooks fresh, delicious, healthy meals every day that perfectly fit her soft-food and low-salt diet. She actually finishes everything and looks forward to every meal. • He’s gentle, patient, and respectful when helping her shower, dress, and move around. • Medications on time, house stays tidy, and he’s always early and dependable. • Most importantly, Mom feels safe, cared for, and genuinely happy when he’s here. Huy mentioned it’s been really hard for him to get inquiries lately because he’s new to Care.com and has no reviews yet, so he politely asked if I’d be willing to leave his first one. I told him I’d do it gladly and make sure it’s detailed, because he’s truly deserves it. If you’re hesitating just because he’s new to the platform, please don’t.
