About Irene

Hi, I'm Irene. I am currently a Master's student at Northeastern, pursuing my initial licensure in Elementary Education and Teaching English as a Second Language. I love working with kids, I have the most experience with ages 5-10, but I am comfortable with any age. I have experience as a both a nanny and babysitter throughout my undergraduate and high school years. I'm looking for a job that can work with my school schedule, I have evening classes and I spend a portion of my days in school doing observational work as I prepare for my student teaching in the spring. I started working with kids when I was very young, I have three younger brothers so I grew up taking care of them. I was always the de facto babysitter. In high school, I began to work with kids outside of my own family and my experiences with kids shaped my desire to be a teacher.
