About Ishita

I'd describe myself as warm, optimistic, and a good problem solver I love seeing kids be empowered with their learning. It is really rewarding working with a student and seeing their confidence shine after they have mastered something they were having trouble with. I also love when they see that learning can be fun and life long. I used to be a classroom teacher and I really love tutoring because it gives me the chance to work more closely with students as opposed to trying to work several students at once. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to deeply learn what the student needs and give them more focused attention. This also gives us a chance to build a connection so that there is trust there to work through tough moments as well incorporate fun topics that might relate to what they are learning to make grasping concepts easier. I also would love to find a job that has the option to tutor online. In my spare time, I like to meditate, play with my dog, hike, or travel!
