Hi! My name is Jackson, I've been a chess and music tutor in New York for the last 3 years, mostly for kids ages 3-10. I've also worked at the Putney School's Summer Arts Program for the last three summers as a Residence Life Teacher, as well as helping with their music program and starting a chess class there two summers ago. I'm originally from Asheville North Carolina, and moved up to NYC after graduating college in 2022. I'm usually away for the summers, but this year I decided I wanted to stay in the city, so I'm mostly looking for work starting in late spring/summer. My specialty is in chess and music, but I've also helped tutor young kids with reading and writing work. Outside of tutoring, I love to read (Le Guin and Dostoevsky are my all time favorites), run, and write music/practice guitar.
