Hello, If you're reading this, I'm assuming it means you have a loved one who is in need. I am so sorry they are suffering and understand that the whole family is affected when one is not well. My sister lives with my parents and has been on and off hospice for a few years now. I tend to her regularly, as well, since my parents are in their 80s. I am very familiar with the needs, spoken and unspoken, the mindset, thought processes, the losses, and the ups and downs that can be experienced by the unwell person and their family members. I have many years of hands on experience taking care of my sister, tending to everything from taking her to doctors, bed baths, changing diapers, monitoring pulse ox, blood pressure, oxygen, giving meds, using feeding tube, crafts, card playing, talking and sharing. Connecting compassionately with her on the many different levels of emotion that she would be navigating through; reminiscing or distracting, ensuring that she felt loved and safe.
