Jaida is a very competent care giver. We hired her to care for our 3 month old son 3 mornings a week and by the end of the first day, it was very apparent that she was attentive to his cues and excited to help his developmental journey. We felt at ease and like we could trust her immediately. Unfortunately, soon after she committed to the position, she changed her mind about what she actually wanted to commit to. She missed the second and third day because she didn't feel well and when she came the following week for her second actual day of work, she told us she needed to "transition out of the role" to have more time to focus on her studies. When I asked if she would be willing to stay on until we found a replacement, she danced around the answer and said that while she didn't want to inconvenience us, she wanted today to be her last day (not much of a transition). We should have heeded previous reviewers advice to have clear discussions with her about expectations for giving notice.
