About Jakayla

Hello, My name is Jakayla and I am a recent psychology graduate. I have provided online tutoring services for two years working with students from second grade to high school on English Language Arts. In my tutoring services, I provide a free diagnostic exam to assess where students are at before going into sessions, which can be completed before sessions begin. I also follow a game and interest based approach to meeting students where they are at. To increase, reading proficiency I also do book club to ensure students get a handle on reading comprehension as well as a joy for reading itself. I hope to inspire students to become excited about learning as well as take pride in their many accomplishments that we will have in our time working together!
