About Jennifer

I'd describe my personality as honest, fair, and outgoing. I like tutoring because I love to see students truly understand a concept. They often have that light bulb moment when it's one on one. I have a love of all things science and I enjoy sharing that with my students. I would like a flexible schedule that I can do on a part-time basis during the week. I like to teach using a STEM approach. I like to ask students the difficult questions, to challenge them. I like students to learn by doing. I started tutoring when I was teaching 6th science. Students could come into the lab and run experiments again or get a better explanation using examples that were useful to them. Later in my career I also tutored High School environmental science and chemistry. My skills include communication, accommodation of notes and curriculum, and hands on learning in the field or laboratory.
