Around 2012 while still running my business. I found myself in the position of becoming my father's full-time care giver. This was my greatest role in life. Becoming my father's advocate helped me to understand and follow through with all aspects of personal home care and navigating what patients and family members need to benefit their well being. I was previously certified in IHSS and had background check, &live scan. I learned about durable medical equipment, safety hazards, etc. I quickly became a pro. I still share my knowledge whenever I see someone struggling physically with their equipment or even when I can tell a caregiver they're doing great or give advice. Just a kind word and a little support go a long way.
