About Jennifer

I have taken care of my great aunts and my great uncle for many years. My mom was their main caregiver. For 10 years. And I took over 30 hours a week so she could have a break because she was around the clock care for them. So for about five years, I helped her for 30 paid hours a week. I cooked, I cleaned, I gave them their medication. I took them to the bathroom. I bathe them. My great uncle was a diabetic so I checked his blood and made sure his blood sugar was good and gave him his insulin. I have changed their diapers. I have done around the clock care for both of them. One was in their 80s and the other one was in their 70s. I sat and I read to them. I talked with them. I spent time with them up until they both passed away. It was a joy. I loved being able to take care of them as well as be a companion and someone they can spend time with. I would love to help other familys out and be able to be an extra shoulder to lean on.
