Hello, my name is Jennifer. I am a experienced , fun loving , compassionate , outgoing, person who loves taking care of others. I am a very adaptable person, which I have found comes in handy in health care situations and love to cook and I only cook homemade. I believe I have wonderful communication skills with my patients which enables us to have a loving and fun close friendship. I believe in giving my patient's respect, happiness and the fulfillment in their time of need. I make it a priority to help them keep their dignity and their normal lives. I have worked in the medical field in and out for almost 18 years. I am BLS Certified , I am a Certified Medical Tech, EKG CERT, and Phlebotomy also a formal Surgical Tech. I am comfortable with administering medication and collecting urine samples, wound care and a variety of medical needs.
I hired Jennifer in 2025 to provide in-home care to my 94-year old father and his 86-year old wife, who had always lived on their own and were very resistant to accepting “help.” My father’s health was deteriorating and, though still functional in many ways, his care had become difficult for his wife. She suffered a health crisis too, early in the year, trying to do it all. They were both slowly debilitating each other trying to live totally independently in their large house. We thought my dad may have been only weeks from passing given his deteriorating health. I live 3,000 miles away and needed to find someone I could really trust to be my eyes and ears with my dad’s week-to-week care, and to help “save” this senior couple from themselves. Jennifer was incredibly receptive to hearing about their particular situation and the nuance that needed to be part of getting them to even accept the help with their lives. She immediately put both my dad and wife at ease with her great personality and willingness to be flexible with them. She met them on THEIR terms with grace. She quickly figured out the ways the be most helpful to them and there ended up being no arguments between me and my dad about having Jennifer work with them. It was really beyond my expectations with how quickly they came to love having Jennifer work with them. Within a few days she was even cooking some of my dad’s favorite foods for him, and continued that weekly – something he hadn’t had done for him in quite a long time. Jennifer’s incredibly valuable combination of healthcare skills and senior care skills were like a gift for my dad’s health and aging situation. She was able to take him to his doctor visits and understand the updates from those physicians. She allowed my dad’s wife to recover from her health issues while making sure my dad had what he needed too. Within a month or so, my dad’s health actually improved for the first time in years. Just as importantly, his QUALITY of life was improving. He had more energy. His thinking was more clear. It was obvious that his improvement was a direct result of Jennifer’s presence in the home. He was eating better. He was no longer trying to do too much. His wife was also doing much better too! When Jennifer started working with them, they agreed to let her come to their home 2-3 days a week. Within a couple of months they wanted her to be there five days a week. Jennifer was communicative with me and other family members on a regular basis so that we knew how they were doing and could ask questions and such. My dad ended up getting another six months of pretty good quality life at home as a result of Jennifer being there. He could have lived longer if a separate, unexpected health issue hadn’t surfaced out of the blue. And, in the end for my dad, it was Jennifer who made the difficult call to give me the bad news. She didn’t have to do this for my dad’s wife. It was hard for Jennifer, but she takes on the difficult things with compassion and care. She made my dad’s final year much better than it would have been otherwise and, for that, I am eternally grateful and will never forget her. I couldn’t more strongly give my endorsement to you for a caregiver, if the need arises, than to recommend you hire Jennifer.
