I am a former bilingual educator with experience teaching bilingual 5th grade, elementary Spanish, elementary English as a second language, and adult English as a second language. My husband and I are also raising our daughters bilingually. I am a current ASHA certified speech-language pathologist and have experience working with individuals with special needs from birth to geriatric populations in both medical and educational settings. I hold current certifications in CPR, as a medical interpreter (English/Spanish), and as a substitute teacher.
We are incredibly grateful for the support and expertise that Jen has provided in working with our child, who has both speech and reading challenges. From the very beginning, she has demonstrated a kind and fun-loving demeanor that immediately put our child at ease and made learning feel enjoyable and engaging. Her warm personality and ability to connect with children have created a safe and encouraging environment where our child feels confident to take risks and grow. As a bilingual former educator and licensed speech-language pathologist, Jen brings a wealth of informed practice and professionalism to each session. Her ability to seamlessly integrate speech strategies with literacy instruction has been instrumental in helping our child make meaningful progress both in and outside of the classroom. She tailors her approach to meet our child’s unique needs, using creative and effective techniques that build both skills and self-esteem. We especially appreciate her clear communication with us as parents, her thoughtful updates, and her genuine investment in our child’s success. It’s evident that she cares deeply and brings both heart and expertise to her work. We highly recommend Jen to any family seeking compassionate, skilled support for their child’s learning and development.
