About Jennifer

Hi. I am a newly retired public schoolteacher with a lot of experience. I taught elementary school and am strong in language arts and math. I have taught K through fifth grade and have lots of experience working with all personality types. I'd describe my personality as kind, patient, and funny. I like tutoring because it allows me to focus on an individual rather than a group. I'm looking for a flexible job that will allow me to increase a student's skills and confidence. I started teaching over 30 years ago. In my spare time, I like to read, take walks, do puzzles, and of course spend time with my family and friends. One thing you should know about me is that I'm a dedicated professional who will put forth every effort to help your child. My skills include knowing many learning strategies, explaining things clearly, and being able to scaffold the level of help.
