About Jessica

During the school year, I spend my days as a Special Education teacher at the elementary level. I work with learners and their families developing a program designed to fit each one as an individual. Part of this process involves identifying gaps in learning. The next step is building a plan for each child along with how to make sure they are getting what they need by gauging their progress. I am certified k-12 in Special Education, with an emphasis in reading. Using evidence-based methods to teach reading, math, and writing is my passion. Watching a child light up when as they read fluently or can solve math problems is a special joy! I have a passion for helping children unlock their potential and learn to apply growth mindset principals with positive self-regulation strategies to think about what they can accomplish is goal setting and perseverance.
