I have been a caregiver for the same person the last 12 years, and she has recently passed away. I am a caring person and enjoy the intimacy of one on one care. I have 2 children of my own, an 8-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy, which is the reason I prefer not to work weekends, but overnights are an option if needed. While working with her, I took care of: - Staffing (searching for help when needed/phone interviews) - Distributing medications. Ordering medical supplies. Medical liason with doctors and others. - Bathing (with hoyer), toileting (with hoyer) - Household duties (cooking/cleaning/shopping). - Personal assistant duties (planning, helping with calendar, taking to appointments) - Personal Driver (basic errands, shopping, personal trips) Additionally I have worked in several group facilities, some independent living, and some dementia care.
