About Jessica

Hi, I'm Jessica! I have several years of experience tutoring students from elementary through high school in reading, writing, and math. At READ 718, I design personalized reading plans, conduct assessments, and mentor volunteer tutors to help children grow as readers. Previously, I worked at 826 Valencia, where I guided students in creative writing, grammar, and essay development-supporting hundreds of kids in becoming published authors. In addition to literacy, I offer one-on-one math tutoring for elementary and middle school students, focusing on core skills like fractions, pre-algebra, and problem-solving. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student's needs. I love helping kids build both academic skills and confidence, while making learning a fun and creative process.
