Hello! A little bit about myself, I recently decided to leave my career in education to stay home with my kids. I have been a special education teacher for 8 years with the last 4 of those years in leadership which included working as Dean. I have worked closely with SLPs, OTs, and mental health providers which has provided me with knowledge and tools when working with children. I have experience in child development, social emotional learning, and academic achievement. As a parent of a 3-year-old daughter and 1-year-old, I practice gentle/conscious parenting. I incorporate Montessori and developmental appropriate play into our day. Also, I homeschool my toddler for preschool, so your child will also receive those benefits of education. I am looking to watch 1 other child. The benefits of this would be dedicated and 1:1 attention to you child and individualized schedule, along with social play. We have 2 very friendly dogs that are in the basement all day away from the children.

Jessie is AMAZING!!! Our daughter had been with the same care provider up until she was in Kindergarten and after Kindergarten we panicked because her old caretaker didn't have any summer spots and the idea of finding a new in-home caretaker made me really nervous. Our daughter has developmental and intellectual disabilities so we are extremely particular with who she spends time with. Jessie has a background in Special Education and is super intuitive and patient. Jessie and my daughter hit it off right away and she also bonded quickly with Jessie's 1.5 year old daughter. She has an extremely clean home, lots of kid-friendly spaces, a great outdoor space, and creates sensory and learning activities. In addition to being a fantastic caretaker she is genuinely a lovely human being. My daughter is excited to go there every day and she is happy when she comes home. She also does well with allergies as both her daughter and mine have specialty diets. I would strongly recommend Jessie. She is all of the things that you look for in someone caring for your child including being patient, kind, gentle, involved, intuitive, creative and loving. Oh and bonus...she helped to potty train our child. We absolutely love Jessie and are sad that our summer is coming to a close with her.
