About Jessica

I have been working with children since I was around 10. I started by working in my church's nursery, babysitting, and helping with my church's VBS (vacation bible school). As I got older, I became the music director for VBS, and-in college-created an arts workshop for elementary aged children. After graduating with a Communication: Speech Communication degree and minor in theatre, I began to pursue a career as an actor. That is how and why I started nannying 10 years ago, and absolutely loved it! I love teaching children how to work together, use their imaginations, and solve problems creatively. We have fun, but we also learn along the way. Becoming a part of the families I have worked for has been a real blessing. I look forward to meeting you and becoming a part of your family, as well! I also completed the Raising Little Talkers course, take workshops through We Skoolhouse (training in different educational approaches), and Elimination Communication (EC) for potty training.

Jessie has been a part of our family for almost 2 years. She's wonderful with our now 4 year old and 19 month old. She's taken care of our son since he was 4 months old and has really helped both our children flourish! I appreciate that she is firm but fair since our oldest listens to her more than us. Jessie is incredibly flexible, willing to work around our schedules to provide care early or late and she also assists with school drop off and pick up when needed. She has also been helpful with household chores. Unfortunately we are moving out of state, but hopeful this review helps her find a brand new family!
