Experience: 10 yrs
I have worked with senior patients with Dementia and Alzheimer's as well as end of life care/hospice. I have experience in treating Diabetes, wound care, patients with limited to no mobility, operating a hoyer lift, administering medications/injections, incontinence care, bathing/hygiene care as well as working with any therapy involved in their treatment. I do housekeeping, meal prep, general companionship and transportation. I started doing senior care officially in 2015 after Working in the Veterinary field. I am a natural caretaker. It is what I love to do most. I have four grown children and a passion for seniors to receive loving and nurturing care while maintaining their dignity. I'm always open to learning and increasing my skill set. I strive to improve quality of life in physical, mental & emotional health as well as enriching and supporting an individual's needs, abilities or preferences as well as working with their families.
If you get Jessica, consider yourself lucky! When my mom had her stroke and it was determined that she would need around the clock care, I had no idea what I was doing. Jessica was the first person that I interviewed. After three interviews and lots of back and forth I decided to go with Jessica. It was not a decision I made lightly and definitely the right decision. She knew I was nervous about leaving my mom with a total stranger and soon put all my fears to rest. She taught me so much when it came to taking care of the elderly. In a few short weeks my Mom began to ask for Jessica. I would come home from work and she and my mom would be talking. My mom needed that interaction. My mom was a big eater ever but between Jessica cooking breakfast and lunch and I cooking dinner she was back to eating three meals a day. Mom was always clean and comfortable and just all around well taken care of. My mom would sometimes get cold and Jessica would throw a blanket in the dryer for a few minutes and then wrap her up in that warm blanket. Yep, she spoiled my mom and I am forever grateful. Jessica is very knowledgeable, dependable and professional. She would constantly give me updates throughout and was honest with any issues that would occur. Jessica is a hard worker and takes her client's health and we'll being serious. Again, if you're able to hire Jessica consider yourself lucky.
