I had conducted two phone interviews with Jessica, and we agreed that she would be a good fit to do an overnight position at my home facility. I currently have only one person staying at the house and she sleeps through the night from 8-7am, and I had told Jessica that I would relieve her at 6 in the morning. She sounded very kind over the phone and we had a good conversation so I offered her other shifts this time during the day throughout the month of December. She was enthusiastic about the position. About 3 hours before her agreed upon shift she canceled via text, saying that her husband did not want her to work. She sounds like a very nice person over the phone, and I did offer her the job because of that, but I don't think she is someone who can be counted on.
