My name is Joan and For the past 10 years, I have worked towards helping seniors and making sure I put a smile on their faces at the end of the day. I have experience working with individuals suffering from dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, diabetes, ALS among others. Over the past years working as a Home Health Aide, I have gained experience working with Hoyer lifts. I am so comfortable helping clients with their direct care needs/ADLs, running errands, housekeeping and providing companionship in general. I am so passionate with working with the elderly because I feel like its my way of honoring my wonderful grandmother who passed away. She is the one who raised me, she took care of my siblings and I. Therefore, working with the elderly is fulfilling and worthwhile knowing that I am able to help another person who needs help.

Any family would be very lucky to hire Joan. I hired a lot of people to help me care for my family member. Joan was the best. Joan is smart, caring and reliable. She worked for me for more than four years. We worked together doing feeding, changing and oral hygiene, transfers from wheelchair to toilet and back and from wheelchair to bed and back, dressing (for work!) and undressing and securing the wheelchair in the van. Basically everything.
