I am a 54-year-old college graduate, mother of two, married 31 years, with degrees in criminal justice and psychology. I have worked extensively in social services and law enforcement and have a lifetime of experience with the elderly. Locally I've been working weekend mornings since 2023 with a woman with MS doing transfers bed to wheelchair, bathing, hygiene, meals, med assistance, housekeeping, stretching/exercise as well as my full-time job as senior caregiver to a 91-year-old with Alzheimers. My weekend client recently moved up north to be near her children and the daughter of my full-time, current client plans to retire early to care for her mother personally, so I'm looking for a new position. Jo is a wonderful caregiver! She provided care to my Mother with dementia. She is very responsible and professional, shows up on time and is receptive to any care requirements needed, including complicated supplement and drug administration, urinary testing and nutrition requirements. She was great with calming my Mom down when needed. She also took Mom for walks and for outings (Museum) to keep her engaged. I have no complaints about the care Jo provided. My only problem was I couldn't provide the amount of hours she needed and she couldn't provide the early evening coverage I needed. I was very sorry to lose Jo and I highly recommend her as a caregiver. My Mom loved her!
