About Jocelyn

I hired Jocelyn to assist my 95-year-old mother who has dementia, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The caregiver quit without communicating directly with me — the person who hired her — and instead, informed my mother, who is cognitively impaired and often confused. I initially dismissed my mother’s comment as a misunderstanding, but when I followed up, Jocelyn confirmed she was quitting. She offered to stay until I found a replacement, which I appreciated at the time. However, she stopped coming after one week without any notice, again leaving us in a vulnerable position. She later stated my mother told her it was her last day — a troubling reason given her awareness of my mother’s condition. Throughout her time with us, she consistently arrived late and left early. This lack of professionalism and reliability caused unnecessary stress and left my mother extremely agitated. I cannot recommend this caregiver to anyone seeking dependable and experienced support for a loved one with dementia.
