About Josephine

Hi, I'm Josie! I'm pursuing my B. S. in Neuroscience at UCLA (currently on medical leave with plans to return Fall 2026). At UCLA, I tutor for the Neuroscience Department and specialize in the introductory chemistry sequence, from general through organic chemistry. I also bring a strong foundation in math and physics, with a 5 on AP Calculus BC and advanced coursework in multivariable calculus and linear algebra. Beyond STEM, I support students with test prep and college applications. I'm a skilled essay editor and ACT/SAT tutor (ACT 35, multiple AP 5's) who loves helping students find their voice and build confidence for high-stakes milestones. I'm also the founder of Project Inspire, a UCLA peer mentoring program, where I support students in study skills, navigating accommodations, and resilience. My tutoring style is patient, adaptable, and encouraging - I focus on content mastery and helping students feel capable and motivated.
