About Joy Ann

I'd describe my personality as encouraging, upbeat and happy. I like tutoring because it gives me a chance to work with a student 1:1 that I couldn't do as a classroom teacher. I love being able to build confidence in students and see that translate to how they approach there work and then get excited when they realized they mastered a new concept. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help someone learn something new that will make school less of a challenge and hopefully more enjoyable. I started tutoring when I stopped teaching in the classroom. In my spare time, I like to read, go out and explore independent coffee shops and watch college sports. One thing you should know about me is I will always put your child first when I am with them. My skills include math, reading and writing. Math is my best skill as I taught only math in 2nd and 4th grade for a few years. I love math but enjoy helping students in all subjects.
