About Judith

For 26 years I was employed by the Metropolitan Community Colleges-Kansas City as a counselor/instructor. Prior to that I worked in middle and high schools. I love reading and writing,; my undergraduate major was English. Since those are my strengths, I enjoy guiding my students in developing those skills, I approach my teaching and counseling from a strengths-based model to empower clients and/or students. Building from strengths develops confidence to tackle weaknesses. My students actively participate. I engage learners through questioning, listening, modeling , and critiquing rather than telling.
