I am a current graduate student at the University of St. Thomas's graduate school of professional psychology pursuing a masters degree in counseling psychology. Almost every job I've had is working with kids ranging from 5+ years of camp counselor experience to most recently being a 1 on 1 paraprofessional I love working with kids more than anything. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, fun, kind I like working with kids because I think I learn just as much from them as they could possibly learn from me. Kids are also so resilient and I love watching the way their minds work! I'm looking for a job that allows flexibility with my school schedule but ideally lets me form a connection with children in a more consistent position. I started working with kids when I was 15 as a babysitting and at 17 as a camp counselor both overnight and day camps.

I conducted a phone interview with Julia, and we scheduled an in-person meeting for later in the week. She seemed excited, and we were looking forward to meeting her. On the morning of the interview, she texted me she felt unwell and unable to come to our home. I suggested rescheduling for the following week but never heard back from her. I would have appreciated more honest communication.
