Juliana is a wonderful person that just knows how to take care of both little babies and older toddlers. She's been our weekly babysitter since our firstborn was 10 months old (he's 2 now) and now also takes care of our newborn as a night doula. She's a warm, energetic and super friendly person, who interacts wonderfully with the kids and I feel very safe leaving them with her. I can only recommend her and say that any kid whom she takes care of is very lucky :)

Juju is amazing! She's been baby sitting our oldest for almost 2 years now (since he was about 6 months old), and over the last few weeks she's been our night doula for our newborn.

She truly loves kids and is great with them, is super reliable and easy to communicate with. I can't recommend her enough!

Juliana took care of our 6yo daughter one for an evening and we can't wait to have her back! She clicked right away with our daughter, who sometimes takes a moment to warm up to new people. Very quickly they were cozied up at the table together for dinner and it was the easiest departure we've ever had for a date night :) They both seemed to really enjoy the time together. We hired Juliana to babysit our 2-month-old for an afternoon. She was great with him - she gave him playtime and naptime and clearly loves babies. She also sent us several photos while she was watching him. We would definitely hire her again!

First time leaving 3 month old with sitter and so happy we found Juliana! We wree a little anxious leaving for the first time but Juliana was wonderful and I felt completely at ease once I met her. Juliana watched our 16 month old son as a backup nanny for 3 days.  She was absolutely wonderful with our son and we would recommend her to anyone looking for childcare. She is warm and caring as well as energetic and genuinely excited to spend time with children. Would love to have her back to watch our son. 

We had Juliana as our share care nanny for just over a year.  Our daughter was 1-2.5 when she worked for us.  We decided to leave the share when we had our son.  Juliana did watch both our kids for a bit before we found a new nanny.
We LOVED Juliana.  She was so fantastic with our daughter.  She pushed her to learn in a patient and nurturing way. We felt very confident leaving our daughter with Juliana from the start.  She is very confident in her abilities but also respectful of your parenting approach.  She also always left the house very tidy and all the days dishes clean.  Anyone that has Juliana in there home is extremely lucky. 

Juliana is wonderful! We loved her and she was so good to our son! She's energetic, reliable and kind.  We felt completely safe having her stay all day with our son.    Highly recommended!

Juliana is a fantastic caretaker for children. I couldn't write a more stellar recommendation - your family will be lucky to work with her! She worked with us, taking care of our son from ages of 2 months to 10 months for 1-2 days a week and date nights leading up to when she went back to Brazil. We wish she could have stayed longer!

In a nutshell, Juliana is incredibly warm, attentive, responsive to feedback, informed and caring with young children. With parents she is patient, has a good sense of humor, easy going, polite and neat. Juliana was our son's first babysitter who was not part of the family and is THE REASON we got comfortable with me going back to work and leaving him in the care of a nanny (a very high hurdle for a mom with a PhD in developmental psychology). 

When our son was 6 weeks old we started a very exhaustive search for a part time caregiver - using nanny agencies, Care.com, friends and family, Berkeley Parents Network, SF moms etc. We screened scores of nannies, interviewed 15 and hired 6 to do practice babysitting sessions and / or work part time (i.e., one of us was home or nearby). While we were very impressed with the strength of the recommendations for Juliana, we ultimately used our "gut" to select her. She had a way with our son that made us feel like she genuinely adored him.  
 
Our "gut" was right and she has far exceeded the expectations of both my husband and I. We were very apprehensive about leaving our son with a 'stranger' but have been so lucky to have Juliana. She spent endless hours playing with him on the floor, reading books, taking him to the park, singing songs - never tiring of all the activities to keep this demanding little guy happy, feeling loved and occupied. Her energy and sense of fun is contagious! (On a personal note, trained as a developmental psychologist, it is very important to me that Juliana talk to our son, narrate the day, engage him in all the activities that promote age appropriate language and cognitive development - she's a textbook example of what best in class looks like on this. Given her native language is Portugese, we ask her to do this in Portugese). Of course, she goes above and beyond on all of the table stakes stuff (e.g., house is neater when I come home; dishwasher empty; ideas for toys, etc.) and was always willing to help in a bind (e.g., arranging a nanny share for a day when she wasn't scheduled to watch our son, staying late / arriving early, etc.). 
 
Moreover, in her first week of work, multiple people in the neighborhood reached out (unsolicited) to tell me how great she was with the baby.
