About Karen

Hello! My name is Karen and I have tutored students for various subjects for almost 10 years. I began tutoring 4th grade students while volunteering as a member of the National Honor's Society at Thunder Ridge High School. In college, I supported students in math, science, and reading under the America Reads America Counts program. I also tutored students in after school programs for underprivileged students. I spent two years abroad tutoring students 6 years old to adults. I taught a variety of subjects including math, science, English, History, SAT reading and writing, and biology. I was also part of a team that worked with foreign top students to assist them with organizing their personal statements, brainstorming and editing their college essays, and guiding them through the US application process. Finally, I spent this past year tutoring students in New York and also helping students gain executive functioning skills.
