We employed Karen as a nanny for our two young children for three years. She was very loving with our children and developed strong bonds with them, and they genuinely enjoyed their time with her. She felt like a part of our family. That said, there were ongoing challenges with communication and professionalism. She was not receptive to feedback or constructive criticism and tended to hold onto frustrations rather than address concerns directly. This made it difficult to have open conversations, and we often felt we needed to be very cautious when making requests or providing guidance. Ultimately, she did not honor the notice period outlined in our contract and left without the agreed-upon notice. While she is caring with children, we believe that clear communication, professionalism, and adherence to contractual expectations are critical for a successful long-term nanny position.
