Hi! My name is Karen, and I've frankly been an animal lover since birth. Recently moved here to Baltimore from Minneapolis, MN and am between jobs while I get my masters online from UW-Madison so have quite the wide-open schedule! I grew up with cats and dogs but also caught the "horse bug" as a young girl- I had a horse for 13 years that I showed. My own dog passed about a year ago but I loved training, hiking, and staying active with him (blue heeler cross so active was a needed pre-requisite). Now I have two cats that do an ample job running my house! In addition to the regular ole pets I majored in biology so have experience with many types of critters in tanks/rodents. I was a teaching assistant in my high school and cared for 20 birds and 15 snakes- so do have a decent amount of base knowledge on their care as well.
