My full name is Karen Vanessa, but I go as Vanessa. I'm from Colombia, so teaching Spanish is a plus. 
I have six years of experience as a babysitter. I love the outdoors, going to the park or the beach, picnics, taking kids to the library or any other activities that kids enjoy, swimming, watching movies and making popcorn, arts and crafts, and pets.

She was great! Prompt, calm, my daughter enjoyed her. Things went smoothly. Would hire her again! 

We were lucky enough to have found Vanessa (Karen) on care.com earlier in the year. She was such an amazing find and so so wonderful with my kids. If we didn't move back to Florida she would absolutely still be with us. She has a very gentle and caring way about her. Both of my children (10 months and 3) absolutely loved her. She was very capable handling two and juggling bath/bedtime/meals. The house was also always left sparkling and organized after she came over, which as a busy mom is such a gift. Any family would be so very lucky to have her as a nanny.  We all miss her very much!

Vanessa was amazing she took care of my 8 week old baby. This was the first time I left Her with anyone. She sent updates and made me feel so comfortable. She was extremely sweet, caring and responsible. I was So happy I found Her. She was very trustworthy and the bay took to her instantly. Would use her again and again. 

My two boys, ages 3 and 6, love Karen! Having watched them on a consistent basis, she is reliable, engaging, caring, and extremely trustworthy. Karen is always up for an adventure, whether to the museum, aquarium, park, beach, library, and so on, and with two high energy boys, even when just staying home, she reads, builds, colors, role plays, etc. with them and they always have the best time, always asking when she is coming back, which she does regularly. 

Karen was wonderful with our 15 month old daughter. I recommend her without hesitation!

We interviewed a number of childcare professionals and Karen was by far the most reliable, knowledgeable and caring person we met. Above all else she was also a great communicator (with adults and with children), kindhearted, patient and trustworthy/responsible. 
Karen became our full-time nanny for over 6 months and continues to be a dependable caregiver whenever we need extra help. Our son is now nearly two years old and lights up whenever they spend time together.

I wholeheartedly recommend Karen. She was our after-school nanny for our 8yo twin boys for the past 6 months. The only reason we are parting ways is me leaving paid employment. 

My twin boys are A LOT (loud, active, strong-willed) however, she walked right in with a calm confidence that quickly earned their trust. She capably ensured they completed their homework and chores, drove them to all of their sports and activities, cooked healthy meals (and left the kitchen sparkling), managed bath time, took the initiative to plan additional fun things with them like signing up for lego club, going to a Christmas festival, apple picking, etc. Just knowing that she was ON TOP OF IT ALL was such a huge weight off this busy working mom's mind. 

After several years living in The Hamptons, I have experienced first-hand how hard it is to find reliable and caring after school nannies. Our life would not have been the same without Karen.
