About Karen

Hello! I am Karen J., mother of five and grandmother to four. For the past 34 years, I have invested much of my time in managing our home, caring for our children, and homeschooling them in the early grades. I find so much joy in spending time with children that, as my own children began to grow up, I continued serving as a volunteer in children's ministries in my church and also in the public school setting. When we moved to Austin, I began working as a nanny so that I could supplement our income, while doing what I love to do--nurturing young children. I am once again looking for a part time position in which I am paid "on the books" as an employee, with an income of $20-25+/hr. I have earned my Associate of Arts degree from Dallas College, have certifications in Adult, Child, and Infant First Aid and CPR/AED, and can provide references from families whose children I have cared for.
