About Karen

Hello! My name is Karen and I am 21 years old. I am currently attending the University of San Diego but will graduate on May 23rd of 2021. I have 10+ years of experience caring for my grandmother who had dementia. My daily tasks included bathing and dressing her, changing her diaper, meal prepping and feeding her, administering her medications, keeping her company, ensuring she was out of harms way and making sure she stayed as active as possible to help with her severe arthritis. I learned many valuable lessons and gained many skills during my time caring for my grandmother which I hope to apply in future caregiving. I believe my many years of 24/7 experience have successfully prepared me to care for people with dementia. I strive to ensure any person I care for is comfortable and safe because I know how important this is for their well-being and peace of mind.
