Hello! I have many years experience caring for adults living with a variety of disabilities and medical conditions through to end of life care. Parkinson's with Psychosis, Cancer, Stroke, COPD, Heart and Kidney conditions, to name a few. I enjoy making the day brighter with personal, compassionate assistance with tasks as a necessary part daily living. I am able to assist with g-tube and regular feeding with dietary restrictions, toileting and incontinence care, medication management, wound care and post surgical care. I have stayed with a client for respite over a few days while their family attended an out of town event. I prefer part-time or short term assignments.
Karen was everything I could have asked for in a caregiver for my mother. Mom had dementia pretty badly, so she required special kind of care... My only regret with Karen was that she didn't get to stay with me very long. She had already signed on for another job so she agreed to fill in for a few days until I found someone. Bless her heart. She helped me find someone.... Her daughter was looking for a job in that field and so I ended up hiring her daughter who was just like her mom proving the point the Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. They were both excellent.... After having tried to hire many people and had many people not show up and many people call me time after time and then still not show up and having gone through all that. Let me say this: having somebody who is responsible, who comes when they say they're going to come, Who does what they say they're going to do is a wonderful thing!!! You can hardly believe it's real after going through many bad apples....and I went thru a bushel during the two years I needed good help with my mom.
