I'm also a recently retired teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. I have taught as a reading specialist, an elementary school teacher and a homebound tutor. I'm very fortunate now that I'm retired, I get to do what I love to do... tutoring one-on-one! Being able to connect with a student individually and getting to know their strengths and weaknesses quickly is invaluable. I am then able to create lessons specific for their ability and he or she is able to master skills previously unfamiliar to them.
