About Karen

Hello. I'm Karen and I'm here to help you take care of the important loves of your life. I am a lucky mom to two children in their twenties, both grown and flown and I have two dogs and a cat. I am an Autism Specialist Para in a high school supporting the academic needs of students with various mental health challenges. I also grew up with a brother on the spectrum. I'd describe my personality as friendly, resilient and gentle. I like working with children because I truly love to see them learning and growing. I'm looking for a job where I can use my experience to help families with their needs whether that is with child care or tutoring. I have been employed by a school district since 2017. In my spare time I like to write, read, garden, exercise and cook. One thing you should know about me is that I am kind. My skills include patience, empathy and being able to communicate effectively with children of all ages. I am flexible, tolerant, reliable, honest and dependable.
