About Karin

I'd describe my personality as energetic, kind, and encouraging. I like tutoring because I enjoy working with students at a pace that is fun for them. When they begin to realize we're a team and that learning together can be exciting and fun, it's makes it worth it. I love the lightbulb moments, encouraging my students, and developing relationships with them! I want to help students who are looking for additional support with their school work or would like to be challenged further than what their school is currently offering. I started tutoring when I was 16 as a part time nanny. Now I have my Master's degree and a teaching credential and I still love tutoring! In my spare time, I like to road bike, hike, paddle board, visit family, play piano, and bake! One thing you should know about me is I am interested in making tutoring a fun and enjoyable experience. It's important to me that each student has the study skills necessary to feel successful.
