About Karina

I recently graduated from UC Riverside with my teaching credential for elementary eaducation and a Masters Degree in Education. I've tutored high school for 3 years and have been a substitute teacher for 2 years. I'd describe my personality as Reflective, Patient, and Enthusiastic I like tutoring because I love to have that one-on-one engagement with the student that is at the pace they are comfortable with. I love to see them grow and become confident in their academic abilities. I'm looking for a job that involves working with both the caregiver and student in a close capacity where we communicate each of our interests for the success of the student. I started tutoring in high school at a homework help club at my local library. When I graduated, I became an Avid Tutor. One thing you should know about me is I am very communicative with the student and their family. My skills include giving clear instructions, using step-by-step procedures , and setting attainable goals
